Drop Ceiling
Overview
Drop ceiling routing provides a clean way to install fiber above suspended ceiling systems.
It is ideal for buildings where visible cabling would affect the finished appearance.
Individual fiber lines can be routed overhead to each unit with minimal disruption.
This method helps maintain a tidy interior while supporting reliable connectivity.
It works well in residential, commercial, and industrial environments with complex pathways.
The result is a concealed installation that balances performance and appearance.
Scope of Work
- Route individual fiber lines above the drop ceiling to each unit for a clean, concealed installation
- Install a Primex box inside each unit in a location coordinated with the owner or tenant when feasible
- Place the Primex box inside an existing closet termination box or beside the telephone demarc when available
Equipment Used
- Fiber optic cable
- Primex box
- Existing termination box or telephone demarc connection point
Result
The completed installation delivered fast deployment, protected fiber routing, and minimal visual impact while preserving the building’s structural integrity. This approach also supports long-term cable performance, future expansion, and a lighter, more efficient installation process for field crews.
